In November of 2015, Danny and I won our first tournament: the Brad Smith Debates at Rochester, and each took home a speaking award for excellence at the competition!
During January of 2016, my partner and I traveled to Thessoloniki, Greece to compete at the World's Universities Debating Championships. We didn't win, but it was still an honor to represent our school at this prestigious tournament. Pictured here are Danny and I in Athens.
In October of 2015, Danny and I made it to semifinals of the prestigious Yale IV, making us the first HWS team to do so since 2012. Pictured here are Danny and I, alongside the rest of the HWS team.
One of the best parts of being on the debate team is the free travel! Nationals 2015 took place in Anchorage, Alaska. We didn't place, but we took enough goofy pictures to make up for it!
